Whenever we visit my parents little mister tells me that we go up the hill to see them. He’s not incorrect. We do go up a steep driveway to get to my parents house. And they do live in the mountains. Quite frankly we go up lots of hills to see them.
Little mister and I are in Big Canoe for a few days with husband’s family. Husband couldn’t make it because of work. Darn work. Little mister had a difficult time understanding where we were going so I simply told him we are going up a special hill for a few days to spend time with Boo Boo. That made sense to him.
Little mister has been a whirling dervish since our arrival yesterday. He loves all his cousins. He really loves his Uncle, and has a great time with them when we are together. It’s loud, and chaotic, but a tremendous amount of fun! We don’t see the cousins all that frequently and thankfully everyone gets along. Adults and children.
I’m grateful that I don’t have a “oh, I have to spend time with my in-laws” feeling towards husband’s family. I am truly blessed. I have so many friends that have issues with their in-laws. Me, not so much. Never have and hopefully never will.
It’s quiet here right now. Kind of nice. I’m enjoying the peace and quiet since I know it won’t be like this for much longer. ahhh……quiet bliss.

I started writing this weeks ago. My laptop died and often I’m too tired to sit at the desk and write in the evening. I now have a fancy new computer and plan to check in more often…..
The other day I took little mister to ride the Pink Pig at Macy’s then to see Santa.
We went with our friends.
The kids were beside themselves! They were so excited to ride the piggy train! We took them twice and everyone had fun. I’d never been on Priscilla before so the adventure was just as fun for me as it was for the kids. They even got shirts to commemorate the trip. Sean has been asking to wear his all day even though it’s dirty.
OFF TO SEE SANTA!!!
This is the first year little mister gets Santa, and might I add, isn’t afraid of him.
He told Santa he wanted trains and came away with a cute photo, a sticker and a candy cane.
